This year, FROSH embodies the exhilarating theme of “THE TRIALS”. Our event aims to spark the passion and drive that you will need and want as you go along your university life. As you compete amongst your peers for the coveted House Cup, you have a chance to etch your name and legacy into FROSH’s history. We seek to achieve an experience that will leave you speechless, all while giving you the memories that you will cherish for years to come. FROSH is not just a welcome event, it is the start to fostering meaningful relationships and connections that will last a lifetime!

The Scarborough Campus Students' Union (SCSU) creates multiple platforms for students to interact with one another, their faculty, and their professors in a safe and inclusive environment as they become familiar with their new campus. First year students will have the opportunity to learn and explore campus life from current students and faculty, providing you with a wide range of experience to learn from.

FROSH consists of a variety of events tailored to all students; from academic presentations and performances to fun events and socials, all held here at UTSC!

FROSH is scheduled for August 29th to August 31st from 9AM to 11PM.
FROSH has served as the jumpstart for numerous successful university journeys! This is your chance to engage face-to-face with fellow first-year students, while being guided by some of UTSC's best upper-year ambassadors. Connect with professors and explore campus resources vital to your academic journey. FROSH promises excitement and fun, with extensive programming tailored by dedicated students and staff to ensure an unforgettable experience. Students can register online via the Eventbrite tab on this website. Tickets are also available for purchase at the Scarborough Campus Students’ Union office, located at the Student Centre at UTSC - SL-108. If you haven't registered yet, stop staring at the screen and hurry; we have early bird discounts that you don't want to miss! There are limited spots so register today!
Your FROSH ticket includes lunch and dinner for August 29th to August 31st! Did we mention all food is halal, with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options available? (Let us know if you have any other dietary requests when you order your ticket!)

No, all FROSH 2025 events will be alcohol and substance free (dry events).
FROSH was designed only for incoming UofT Scarborough students. We encourage you to meet new people and make new friends within your new "academic" home. This is a place to meet with the people you will spend your next few years with. You will have a chance to meet with students in your program, students in other programs, student leaders, and faculty & academic instructors.
Absolutely! While spirit and cheering are a big part of FROSH, they are in no way the entire experience. The beauty of FROSH is that there's something for everyone – and you can choose what you do and do not want to participate in.
